Project Details: This poster was created as an advertisement for Sounds Stilled, an exhibit that featured the work of North Carolina photographer, Don Sturkey. During his career, Sturkey photographed nearly sixty music-related events, capturing memorable moments backstage, onstage, in audiences, and during interviews. His most memorable photos are of rock, folk, and blues musicians during the 50s through the 70s, so I chose concert posters from that era as my inspiration for this design.
This poster also served as a design guide for other employees who were creating other collateral for the event, such as exhibit signage, digital displays, and invitations.
